Biography
Born in Valencia in 1981. He began his piano studies at the age of seven with Adrianne Lloyd in Warwick (England). He continued at the Conservatorio de Riba-Roja with Maria-Elisa Gómez Pardo finishing his studies with the highest marks.
He studied composition at the Conservatorio Superior de Valencia. At the same time, he studied orchestra conducting with Jose Rafael Pascual Vilaplana and Miquel Rodrigo. He attended piano masterclasses with Maria Jastrzebska-Quinn (Chopin Academy, Warsaw) and José Mardon (Torrent, Valencia). He also took part in orchestra conducting masterclasses with Benjamin Zander (Royal Academy of Music, London) and Jorma Panula (Hans Eisler Musikhochschule, Berlin).
In 2003 he moved to Leipzig (Germany) to continue his conducting studies with Harald Knauff (Halle Staatskapelle) and Fabio Luisi (Wiener Symphoniker and Staatskapelle Dresden). He has worked with choirs like the Amici Musicae Choir, Leipziger Vokalensemble and the Gewandhaus Choir.
He has worked with the following german orchestras: MDR Sinfonieorchester, Westsächsische Symphonieorchester, Jena Philharmonie, Leipzig Musikalische Komedie Orchester, Neue Elbland Philharmonie, Staatsorchester Aue and Felix-Mendelssohn Hochschule Symphonieorchester. He has also worked with soloists like Daniel Fuster, Mariana Sirbu, Stefan Schilli and Kai Gleusteen.
In Spain he has conducted the Orquesta Sinfónica del Vallés (Barcelona) and the Ars Academica Orchestra, which he founded in 2004. In May 2007, he made his debut at the Gewandhaus zu Leipzig, conducting Mahler's fourth Symphony (E. Stein version), with the New Chamber Orchestra. Currently he is principal conductor of the Orquestra Simfònica Consolat de Mar (Valencia) and the New Chamber Orchestra.
